3 Homemade Hair Treatments Using Eggs & Argan Oil

It’s the same trouble every year: winter makes our hair brittle, dry and lifeless. So here are 3 recipes you can use as a treatment and that can help replenish, strengthen and restore the shine of you hair:

The Nourishing Argan oil + Rum Lotion:

This amazing mix with Argan oil and rum will deeply repair scalp skin and dry hair. You can apply it as much as you wish to!

Simply mix the Argan oil with the rum in a small bowl then apply the lotion by massaging it into your hair and scalp before going to bed and leave it overnight.

Wash your hair after waking up using your usual shampoo.

The Regenerating Hair Cream:

This hair cream recipe is easy to remember because it always remind me of the mayonnaise one. It gives a boost to fatigued hair and makes it silky-smooth and shiny. Guaranteed!

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons of Arganfarm Argan oil, avocado oil or unrefined sesame oil

Mix the ingredients with a hand-mixer (like you’d do it for Mayonnaise) until you get a nice firm cream. Then apply some of it on your dry hair while concentrating on the damaged areas.

If you use oils other than Argan oil and if you have an oily scalp but dry, brittle hair and split ends, make sure to avoid applying the cream to your scalp. Use it only on your hair. If you use Argan oil however, you can apply it to both your hair and scalp skin, since Argan oil is also used as a wonderful skin treatment.

After that cover your hair with a warm towel or plastic bag and leave it in for an hour before washing it using your usual shampoo.
This mask can be used for long as well as mid-long hair and can applied once a week. It will also help you disentangle your hair easily.

The recipe is enough for two applications for long hair and three for short hair. Simply keep it in a glass jar and place it in refrigerator.

The Repairing Argan Oil + Egg Mask

  • 1 egg yolk (or 2, depending on hair length)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Arganfarm Argan oil

Mix the egg yolks with the oil using a tablespoon then apply to your hair while massaging gently.
Leave the mask in for 5-10 minutes then wash with a mild shampoo and rinse thoroughly.

Now it’s your turn. What recipes did you find useful?
